5 schools from Kerry took part in the Kerry Girls Post Primary Futsal Finals competition yesterday (November 17)
These schools had 7 teams take their place in the group stages:
37 goals were scored in the group stages with some exciting matches played throughout with all teams providing great spectacles for all onlookers:
The teams were divided into 2 groups with the top team in each group qualifying for the final:
After the group stages it was Listowel Community College and Mercy Mounthawk, Tralee who took their place in the final:
This was an excellent game of futsal with the Listowel school going one up at the mid way point of the game, they then extended their lead to 2/0 moments later on with a tremendous strike:
Try as they might the Tralee girls were finding it hard to get back into the game and on the day the Listowel girls came out winners on a score of 2/0:
Listowel Community College now go on to represent Kerry for the first time, in the Munster Finals at the Nenagh Arena on Tuesday, November 22
