The Mayo FAI Post Primary Schools First Year Boys Futsal competition took place in Davitt College, Castlebar with eight Schools taking part, namely Scoil Mhuire agus Padraig, Swinford, Sancta Maria Louisburgh, St. Louis Kiltimagh, Lacken Cross, Ballinrobe Community School, Colaiste Acla Achill, Our Lady's SS, Belmullet and hosts Davitt College, Castlebar
The Boys event was divided into two groups of four with the top two in each group playing in semi-finals. After the fifteen high quality games had finished Our Lady's SS, Belmullet overcame St. Louis of Kiltimagh in the Final of a score-line of 4-1.
They will now go on to the Connacht Finals that will be held in IT Sligo on November 19
The FAI Development Officer Paul Byrne would like to thank the Schools that participated, their staff and the players on their sporting conduct throughout the event and also Davitt College for their fabulous facility.
