Irish Schools team seek St: Patrick’s Day Glory

The Republic of Ireland FAI Schools Under 18 team will be aiming to celebrate St: Patrick’s Day with a victory over Northern Ireland in their second game of the Centenary Shield: The fixture will take place in Milebush Park, Castlebar (2pm):

The squad will be strengthened with the return of Gary Murphy from injury and Captain Robbie Creevey, who missed the match against Wales due to club commitments for Shamrock Rovers:

Their season got off to a great start with a hard/fought 2 /1 win over Wales in Swansea at the end of February: Kevin Barry will be hoping for a call up to the starting side after making a telling impact when coming on as a substitute in that game to secure victory for the Irish with a late winner:

Northern Ireland will be looking to improve on their performance which saw them been beaten by England 2 – 1 at home last Monday evening:
