Both sides were cautious in the first half and made little of their counter attacking opportunities ensuring the first half remained scoreless:
However, Colaiste Spioraid Naoimh opened the second half with an excellent opportunity on 40 minutes when Diarmuid O’Sullivan’s shot was saved on the goal line by St: Benildus defender Stephen McAuliffe:
