The College Football Association of Ireland (CFAI) is launching an ambitious attempt to break the world record for consecutive penalty kicks: The record breaking attempt will take place at Tallaght Stadium on Wenesday, Feb 15th:
The record breaking attempt will mark the 40th anniversary of the CFAI and is being run in association with the FAI, ITT Dublin, Senior College Dun Laoighaire and Sports against Racism Ireland (SARI): The current record for most consecutive penalties is 742 and was set last year by Major League Soccer in New York: All funds raised from the event will be donated to The National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght and SARI:
All members of the community are invited to attend in what promises to be a memorable occasion: Tallaght Stadium provides the perfect setting for this record breaking effort as there is ample parking and the area is well serviced by public transport: You don’t have to be the most talented player in the world to take part and even if you miss, your effort will be counted towards the overall target:
