Dear Teacher,

I’m delighted to announce that the 2016 application process is now open for the SPAR FAI Primary Schools 5s programme.

The programme involved over 19,000 students last year with 1,069 schools participating. The competition has been running since the mid 1990s and the programme promises to be bigger and better than ever this year.

FAI Schools are delighted to announce that the National Finals will be hosted in the spectacular surrounds of the Aviva Stadium again this year. It could be your School in the National Finals on May 11, so sign up now for your chance to go all the way and create a day to remember for your School and its students.

This magnificent competition is for kids in 4th, 5th and 6th class and it all begins at your local county level. The events are a fantastic opportunity for girls and boys to participate in a fun filled one day blitz.  There are six sections to cater for all school sizes so whether your school falls into the small, medium or large category there is a competition to cater for you. Please note we have added a new Girls ‘C’ Cup section this year which ensures equal opportunities for girls participation with the same three sections available as the Boys/Mixed competitions.

 REGISTRATION PROCESS & PAYMENT

All applications will be made online this year. There is no paper applications contained in the attached brochure/flyer.

  1. Please click on http://www.fai.ie/primary5 to register your school NOW.

    Once you have completed the application in full, you will receive an automatic response to confirm receipt of your application.

  2. The next step is to send a cheque for €50, made payable to FAI SCHOOLS, to your local co-ordinator at the address stated in the EXCEL SPREADSHEET attached. Each participating school will receive a complimentary football for entering the competition

LOCAL CO-ORDINATOR CONTACT DETAILS

Please see attached the EXCEL SPREADSHEET which contains the local co-ordinator’s name, mobile number and postal address. The spreadsheet also contains the dates for each of the County events. PLEASE NOTE if you have any specific queries on your County qualifiers, please contact your local co-ordinator for further information

CLOSING DATES

Please note that the closing date for each County event will differ. I recommend that you contact the local co-ordinator at your earliest convenience to ascertain dates, venues, etc.  Please see excel spreadsheet and flyer for further contact details.
