Metropolitan Leagues in Leinster
METROPOLITAN LEAGUE
From Season 2008/09, the Senior League competition, in all Leinster regions will become an U19 competition:
The qualifying date for players to be eligible for this competition will be: born on or after 1st August 1989
The Leinster Senior & Senior B Cup competition remain as U18 competitions: (Qualifying Date: 1st August 1990)
This change is to assist schools who have large repeat leaving certificate years or who have compulsory Transition Year Programmes:
It is also part of the FAI - FAI Schools Development Plan that ALL school students should have the opportunity to participate in schools soccer:
