Preparations are now underway for next season’s Interprovincial Tournament, to take place in October 2012: The Leinster Squad Management Team of John McShane (Dublin Oak Academy) & Paddy O’Reilly (Trinity C:S:, Ballymun) have asked me to contact you for the purpose of nominating your best players for trial:
Please note the following;
N Please nominate on the form attached suitable players:
N Players must be born on or after 1st August 1994 to be eligible for next season’s competitions:
N Please only nominate players that you feel would be up to provincial standard – i:e: players with representative or international experience:
N Please gather as many player details as possible: Players will be contacted directly with regards to trial arrangements:
N Players will be responsible for their own transport to the trial venue:
N Please return form by fax/e/mail as per details on the form: The form can be completed electronically (download & save to your documents) & returned by e/mail to John McShane only at the e/mail address (jmcshane@dublinoakacademy:com) on the form:
N If returning form by fax or e/mail, please photocopy/send separate files form if nominating more than 1 player:
N Nomination forms must be returned to John McShane no later than Friday 30th March 2012:
Trials will take place in Ballymun every Wednesday in May, starting on May 9th & concluding on May 30th: This is an excellent opportunity for your players to get representative recognition:
The tournament is also used to select players for the Irish Schools International Team, which participates in the Centenary Shield competition every season: Illustrious past players of the Schools International Team include Colin Powell (Portmarnock C:S:), John O’Shea (De La Salle College, Waterford), Kevin Doherty (ex/Liverpool & Shelbourne), Tony Scully (ex/QPR/Crystal Palace), Colin Hawkins (Shamrock Rovers) & Stephen Ward (Portmarnock C:S:):
