Naomh Eanna indoor hall played host to the FAI Schools Futsal Competition on Wednesday 19 November:
This pilot scheme catered for third and fourth class pupils from seven primary schools, all from the Gorey area:
The competition was a huge success with six boys teams and six girls team entering on the day:
The boys section consisted of schools from Gorey CBS, Gaelscoil Guaire, Ballythomas NS, Craanford NS, Monaseed NS and Riverchapel NS:
The girls section catered for Loreto Gorey A, Gaelscoil Guaire, Ballythomas NS, Craanford NS, Loreto Gorey B and Riverchapel NS:
GIRLS FINAL
The girls' final saw Loreto Gorey meeting Craanford National School with Craanford ending up as champions:
Winners: Craanford National School
BOYS FINAL
St: Joseph's Gorey played Riverchapel National School in the boy’s final with St: Joseph's winning 3/2 in the end:
Winners: St: Joseph's National School, Gorey
LEINSTER FINALS
The two victorious teams will now advance to the Leinster Finals at the National Basketball Arena (NBA) in Tallaght on 10 February 2009:
